Annapurna circuit trek goes through two different river valleys, The River Marsyangdi in starting till before the highest pass Thorang La and Kaligandaki River after pass till almost Beni Bazar.
Usually, trekkers hike anti-clockwise direction due to its gradual elevation. The elevation goes up slowly every day which makes to trekkers walks easier and safer. The view of the mountain is seen amazing each day from different places and Manang valley is the best place to see its beauties’.
The trip begins from Kathmandu by four wheels driving to Syange on the first day via Besisahar, Bhulbhule in the Valley of Marsyangdi River. Then most of the time before the pass is followed this beautiful River Valley. And hiking part is finished at Muktinath. Muktinath is a small, beautiful town within Tibetan plateau an altitude of 3760m above sea level.
Motorbike riding starts from this place for another adventure. The road in this area is unpaved but acceptable to ride. The road becomes bumpy and tough after Lete/Kalopani. Driving seems scary some of the places after Ghasa. Kaligandaki River valley is interesting for motorbike riding from Muktinath.
Tatopani (a natural hot spring) is most relaxing and relief after big hiking and one-day tough motorbike riding. From Beni, the road is better with beautiful mountains view, through farm land, many villages, terraces, forests and reached Pokhara.
Striking Pokhara is most beautiful with its many mountain views, lakes, caves, and gorge. This is a touristic city in Nepal. Ultra light flight, Paragliding, Zip lining, Sky diving, Bungee jumping are its attraction for tourists.

Probably, you will see Himalayan Thar, blue mountain sheep, yaks most of the time in this area. Yak Kharka has only a couple of tea houses only for trekkers. And this area is popular for Yarsa Gumba (a fungus that grows on insects) too. People collect this thing from May/June for a month roughly. Anyway, you will have an overnight at Yak Kharka.

Start with a vertical uphill to high camp. Climb this uphill slowly with head light. It is totally uphill all the way to Thorang La top. There is a tea shop on the way. Normally, it is opened in the busy season. You will have another tea shop on the top of Thorang La pass as well.
If there is a lot of snow; you have to be very careful, if the weather is bad; you have to be very careful. When the weather becomes cloudy & snowfall it is hard to see very nearby you too. There is iron poll on the way but sometime you can’t see, it is hard to find right trail so you are recommended to hire an experienced guide or go with others trekkers. We had big tragedy in 2014. It is known as Annapurna tragedy. 44 trekkers, guides, & porters were killed by a snowstorm.
When you reached the top you will be happy with a hot cup of tea or coffee because there is always negative temperature & strong windy too. You may enjoy the highest pass- Thorang La Pass, make photographs then trek down to Muktinath. It is all the way downhill to Muktinath. It is vertical downhill in some areas if there is ice it will make hard to trek down so trekking poll is recommended here. There is another Phedi before reaching to Muktinath.
