Our adventure to Everest Three High Passes begins after reaching Lukla with a short scenic flight, and the taking a moderate and scenic trail through lovely Sherpa village to reach famous Namche Bazaar. At Namche with a rest day for proper acclimatization then heading to cross the first high pass of the adventure over Khoma-la, as the walk continues with a visit to Everest base camp and climb of Kalapathar as extra for you to enjoy the best of Everest and Khumbu region.Our second part of the adventure leads over Tsho-la to reach beautiful Gokyo Lake with awesome views of mountains and landscapes with world 6th highest Mt. Cho-Oyu.
Finally, our third phase of this fabulous adventure concludes with a crossing of the last high Renjo-la with overwhelming sceneries and then heading back to Lukla with a visit of Thame. After a great and pristine time within world highest mountains, our adventure to Everest Three High Passes completes with a short scenic flight back to Kathmandu. A great adventure ends in Kathmandu with excellent services and support of Pristine Nepal guide and staff.

Day 01 / Reach Kathmandu after your international flight.
On arrival in Kathmandu received by pristinenepal.com staff and guide for short drive to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu city, where you will join with other members of Everest Three High Passes trekking, our guide or group leader will brief with information regarding trekking –hotels-culture with do’s and don’ts, includes welcome dinner in a nice and typical Nepali restaurant with culture programs.
Day 02 / Fly to Lukla 2,886m & trek to Phakding 2,640m - 04 hrs
Morning transfer to domestic airport for a sweeping scenic flight of 30 minutes to Lukla, Lukla airport or Tenzing –Hillary Airport. This is one of the world’s most unique airstrips with ups and downs short runway, after a time for refreshment in Lukla, where your bigger baggage will be carried by our porters or loaded on Ghopkyo (mix breed of normal cow and yaks).
From Lukla, our first-day walk begins on the gradual path with much downhill and short climb passing traditional Sherpa farm villages with views of snow-capped peaks. After a pleasant walk reaching overnight stop at Phakding located by the glacier fed Dudh Kosi (river)
Day 03 / Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m - 06 hrs.
After a pleasant overnight with the sound of the river, morning walk leads following Dudh Kosi, crossing few bridges to reach Sagarmatha National Park in Monjo village. From walk leads to the last village of Jorsalle before Namche Bazaar walking on the river bed and forested area. After crossing the last high bridge few hours climb with marvelous views of peaks with Everest then reaching famous Namche Bazaar, here with two nights in this large prosperous trading town / village as well the main centre of Khumbu with facilities of ATMs, Cyber cafes, stores, shops, restaurants, banks and fresh bakery with a busy colorful Saturday market.
Day 04 / Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization.
Namche a perfect spot for rest and acclimatization day, this morning a leisure short hike up to park museum with full information from mountaineering, flora/fauna of the area with Sherpa culture and Buddhist religions, this scenic spot offers grand views of mountains Mt. Everest and stunning Ama Dablam. For energetic and interested can take few hours hike uphill to Everest View Hotel for best views of Mt. Everest and other mountains.
Day 05 / Trek to Thyangboche 3,867 m - 05hrs.
After a nice rest at Namche, morning walk leads on a gradual winding path into rhododendron and pine tree forest with views of Ama Dablam, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Thamserku and Kwangde peak. After few short ups walk descends to Imjatse River at Phung Tenga, with rest for lunch and then afternoon walk leads to a climb for few hours through the pristine forested area to reach Thyangboche Monastery.
Thyangboche Monastery located on a small plateau with wonderful views of Ama Dablam, Kangtenga, Thamserku, Kwangde and Mt. Everest. A holy spot as the head lama (Rinpoche) resides in this famous monastery, where Mountaineers and climbers of major expeditions get blessed by the high priest for success and safe climb.
Day 06 / Trek to Dingboche 4,260 m - 05 hrs.
Morning with eye catching views of mountains, our journey starts with a long descent through beautiful birch-rhododendron and pines forest, and then crossing a bridge over Imja Khola.
From here tree lines stops for short bushes of juniper and dwarf rhododendron bushes (Azalea), after the bridge, a slow climb brings your at Pangboche, this is the last permanent village further up are temporary settlements to cater the needs of travelers with fine cozy lodges.
The walk leads slowly into exposed areas of windswept landscapes with grand close views of Mt. Ama Dablam with gradual up and crossing the last small bridge reaches you at Dingboche for another town night stops.
Dingboche located on scenic Imjatse Valley a summer grazing areas for yaks, at present with many good lodges with a great panorama of mountains with views of Island peak, Lhotse-Nuptse and North Face of Ama-Dablam.
Day 07 / Rest at Dingboche for acclimatization with short hike.
Rest day at Dingboche will add proper acclimatization at this high altitude on this day take a slow walk uphill to Nagarjuna hill for better views of surrounding peaks including Mt. Makalu towards east, one can take a walk to Chukung the last human settlement with beautiful views along the trail, taking more than 4-5 hours and back.
Day 08 / Cross Kongmo-la 5,535m and to Lobuche 4,928m - 08 hrs.
After pleasant days at Dingboche, starting early morning walk to cross over the first pass of this adventure as the walk leads few hours past Dingboche near Chukung, and then our route diverts towards north beneath towering peak of Lhotse and Nuptse. The walk with climb uphill leadings over moraine with to reach at Kongma-la and its peak Kongma or Mehra, after a good rest in between cross over Kongma-la pass at 5,535 m / 18,159 ft hidden by Nuptse, Mihara, and Pokalde peaks.
After a tough and hard climb then descend towards Khumbu glacier and moraine, the walk on the glacier can be confusing and misleading, follow our lead Sherpa guide. After crossing the Khumbu glacier, walk leads over dunes with a steep climb to the terminal debris of Khumbu Glacier at Lobuche for an overnight stop.Here on the main popular route to Everest base camp and staying in a cozy lodge after a hard and tough day and adventurous crossing.
Day 09 / Trek to Gorakshep 5,170 m, Everest Base Camp 5, 364 m - 06 hrs.
Walk this morning is gradual with few short steep up but can be tough due to high altitude gain with awesome views of Mt. Pumori, Lingtrin, Khumbutse and Mt. Everest. After few hours of strenuous and scenic walk reaching at Gorakshep as the trek leads over moraine and glaciers to Gorakshep with few lodges, located beneath Kalapathar Hill and Pumori peak on route Everest base camp. Gorakshep was the original base camp in early 1950’s to 1970’s, here with overnight stop after reaching our main highlight of this adventure at Everest base camp.
From Gorakshep few hours of walk leads to base camp over rocks, boulders, moraine and glacier on reaching world highest Everest base camp, enjoy the surrounding views enclosed within Everest hidden behind high peaks of Lho-La-Nuptse with close views of notorious Khumbu Ice-Falls. In mountaineering high season April to June, this place will be flooded with hundreds to colorful tents, climbers, and staff. After base camp returns back to Gorakshep for last overnight stop on the eastern side of high Khumbu valley.
Day 10 / Hike to Kalapathar 5,545 m trek to Dzongla 4,830m - 05 hrs.
Early morning a steep climb to the top of Kalapathar for the fantastic panorama of surrounding giant peaks including Mt. Everest at close distance, this will be the highest point of the adventure at 5,545 m / 18,192 ft.
After an overwhelming time on the top, downhill to Gorakshep and continue trek to reach Dzongla for overnight stop, walk leads on the same route for few hours and then heading towards Tsho-la (Cho) at Dzongla for overnight stop, afternoon rest and preparation for next early morning to cross over Tsho-la and towards Gokyo Lake.
Day 11 / Cross Tsho-La 5,368 m and descend to Dragnak 4,700 m - 07 hrs.
A tough and exciting day, morning cross the second pass of this adventure over Tsho-la pass ( Chola), after a breakfast following the path leading to a steep up and then cross the glacier on the eastern side.
On reaching top of the pass at an altitude of 5,367m, sometimes it will be quite challenging to traverse (in snow conditions), from the top offers amazing views of mountains with Cholatse Glacier, from here descend carefully to Thanknak for overnight stop after a hard climb over Cho-la pass, Thanknak at 4,750m a small isolated place with few Lodges.
Day 12 / Trek to Gokyo Lake 4,790m - 04 hrs.
After a tough climb and descend of Tsho-la pass today an easy and gradual walk as the route to Gokyo Lake leads beneath Ngozumba glacier reaching the first lake.
The walk leads to a climb by the side of a glacier, passing another second lake and reaching at the third lake known as Dudh Pokhari or Gokyo Lake a summer settlement with fantastic views of Mt. Cho Oyo and Gyachung Kang that reflects on emerald green waters of Gokyo Lake. Afternoon relaxes with a short walk around, for energetic people can climb to Gokyo Ri high point for a panorama of peaks.
Day 13 / Traverse over Renjo-la 5360m / 17,585 ft and descend to Lungdhen 4,380m - 06 hrs.
Last pass of the adventure, starting early morning towards Renjo-la, walk follows at the end of Gokyo Lake, with marvelous views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cholatse and Taboche, and then over Renjo La pass at 5,465 m / 17,929 ft, one of the most difficult section of this adventure, on reaching the top with breathtaking panorama of Mt. Cho-Oyu and other high surrounding peaks.
After a nice break walk follows to a frozen ponds beneath Renjo La pass, and then descend reaching a small settlement at Lungdhen for an overnight stop, located near on route to Nangpa-la pass the trail heading to Tibet.
Day 14 / Trek to Thame 3,880 m - 06 hrs.
After successful crossing all three high passes of Everest and Khumbu region and feeling the high spirit, today a nice walk downhill through the small village of Marlung to reach a sleepy nice village at Thame for an overnight stop.
Thame village located at the western end of Khumbu of Everest region, which is just 3-4 hours walk from Namche Bazaar. Trekkers visit Thame on route Renjo-la or after crossing Tashi-Labtsa high pass that separates Rolwaling valley and Khumbu area. With time in the afternoon visit Thame monastery, one of the most important and oldest Gompa believed to be of more than 500 years old.
Day 15 / Trek to Monjo 2,880 m through Namche Bazaar - 06hrs.
Morning walk with short descend to Bhote Kosi River and then 20 mins climb to reach the other side of the ridge, from here a gentle walk leading towards Namche Bazaar through Thamo village with hydro electricity plant, supplies electricity to Khumbu villages. From Thamo entering back into the lovely forest of pines and rhododendron tree lines as the winding trail reach back at Namche Bazaar.
After a rest at Namche continue downhill walk to Dudh Kosi River, from here with short ups and downs to reach at Sagarmatha National Park to Monjo village for an overnight stop in this nice village.
Day 16 / Trek to Lukla - 04 hrs.
After an exciting and fabulous Everest Three Passes trekking with loaded adventure, last day walk leads back on the same trail with last climb to Lukla for lunch and overnight stop, afternoon free with last night dinner celebration with fellow staff-guides and members.
Day 17 / Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
From Lukla an early morning flight to Kathmandu, some time the flight time can delay due to bad weather conditions, as per your flight time board in a small plane for super, scenic flight back to Kathmandu, on reaching Katmandu domestic terminal. Pristine Nepal guide and staff transfer you back to your hotels with an afternoon free for individual activities.
Day 18 / In Kathmandu for sightseeing tour at places of interest.
Pristine Nepal reserves this day in case of flight delay and cancellation in Lukla, due to unfavorable weather conditions, if all runs well according to our itinerary days join for sightseeing tour as Kathmandu is full of world heritage sites of historical monuments-enjoy the tour of Kathmandu old Durbar square, Swayambhunath the landmark of Kathmandu or visit Bouddhanath “Little Tibet”.
Day 19 / International departure for home ward bound.
