Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla 2,840 m & trek to Phakding 2,610 m - 04 hrs.

Day 04: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion.
Day 05: Trek to Khunde 3,880 m / Khumjung 3,780 m - 04 hrs.

Day 01 / Reach Kathmandu after your international flight.
On arrival in Kathmandu received by pristinenepal.com staff and guide for short drive to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu city, where you will join with other members of Gokyo Lake & Everest base camp trekking, our guide or group leader will brief with information regarding trekking -hotels-culture with do’s and don’ts, includes welcome dinner in a nice and typical Nepali restaurant with culture programs.
Day 02 / Fly to Lukla 2,840 m & trek to Phakding 2,610m - 04 hrs
Morning transfer to domestic airport for a sweeping scenic flight of 30 minutes to Lukla, Lukla airport or Tenzing –Hillary Airport. This is one of the world’s most unique airstrips with ups and downs short runway, after a time for refreshment in Lukla, where your bigger baggage will be carried by our porters or loaded on Ghopkyo (mix breed of normal cow and yaks). From Lukla, our first-day walk begins on a gradual path with much downhill and short climb passing traditional Sherpa farm villages with views of snow-capped peaks. After a pleasant walk reaching overnight stop at Phakding located by the glacier fed Dudh Kosi (river)
Day 03 / Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m - 06 hrs
After a pleasant overnight with the sound of the river, morning walk leads following Dudh Kosi, crossing few bridges to reach Sagarmatha National Park in Monjo village. From walk leads to the last village of Jorsalle before Namche Bazaar walking on the river bed and forested area.
After crossing the last high bridge few hours climb with marvelous views of peaks with Everest then reaching famous Namche Bazaar, here with two nights in this large prosperous trading town / village as well the main centre of Khumbu with facilities of ATMs, Cyber cafes, stores, shops, restaurants, banks and fresh bakery with a busy colorful Saturday market.
Day 04 / Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization.
Namche a perfect spot for rest and acclimatization day, this morning a leisure short hike up to park museum with full information from mountaineering, flora/fauna of the area with Sherpa culture and Buddhist religions, this scenic spot offers grand views of mountains Mt. Everest and stunning Ama Dablam.
For energetic and interested can take few hours hike uphill to Everest View Hotel for best views of Mt. Everest and other mountains.
Day 05 / Trek to Khunde 3,880 m / Khumjung 3,780 m - 04 hrs.
After a pleasant break with a rest day at Namche, morning a short steep climb above Namche to reach at Syangboche with an old short airstrip, offering fabulous views of the high surrounding mountains.
From here a gradual uphill walk following trail to Khunde and Khumjung, the largest Sherpa villages around Khumbu area, beneath holy peak of Khumbi-la (patron god of Khumbu)
at 5,761m. At Khunde village visit one and only Khunde hospital built by Edmund Hillary Foundation, from here a pleasant short walk downhill to Khumjung for an overnight stop.
Afternoon tour of Khumjung old Monastery, the only place with a hairy scalp believed to be of Yeti kept in a glass box. Where you can witness with some donations, around Khumjung has a High School also built by Edmund Hillary Foundation.
Day 06 / Trek to Dole 4,110 m - 05 hrs.
After a nice stop on the glacial valley at Khumjung with eye catching views, morning walk leads downhill to join the main trail at near Shanasa village. From this spot, our route diverts away from the main Namche-Everest base camp trail towards quiet areas towards Gokyo Lake.
The path climbs with a steep climb to reach a Mong 3,973 meters with amazing views and then downhill walk to Dudh Kosi River at Phortse Thanghka for lunch. After Phortse, continue to walk to Dole as the trail climbs steeply out of the valley through a patch of rhododendron forest which gives way to juniper and conifers trees. In the spring time, this place will be magic with wild flowers in full bloom. This path passes summer Yak pastures.
The trek leads past Tongba and Gyele villages to reach at Dole with super view of Khumbila and Tawache 6,542m.
Day 07 / Trek to Macherma 4,470 m -04 hrs.
Morning walk from Dole climbs along the side of the valley, where rhododendron forest stops, giving way to smaller bushes of juniper as you gain altitude slowly. Finally, walk leads on the level path for an hour to Lhabarma Kharka and to Luza at 4,390m and then skirting around a ridge with downhill to Macherma village. Arriving at Macherma for lunch and overnight stop with time in the afternoon for short walk or just relax.
Day 08 / Trek to Gokyo 4,790m -04 hrs.
From this small settlement, our walks continue to Gokyo 3rd Lake, following a scenic path to Pangka small area and then descend slightly, following one of the glacial fed rivers which flow from Ngozumba Glacier of high world 6th highest Cho-Oyu and other adjoining peaks.
The walk leads to a climb by the side of a glacier, passing first lake and the second lake, crossing the path to reach the third lake known as Dudh Pokhari or Gokyo Lake a summer settlement with fantastic views of Mt. Cho Oyo and Gyachung Kang that reflects on emerald green waters of Gokyo Lake.
Day 09 / Morning hike to Gokyo-Ri and walk to Dragnak 4,700 m - 04 hrs.
Morning hike uphill to Gokyo Ri one of the highlights of this trip, a small peak above the lake, Gokyo Ri at 5,357m offers a panorama of Mt. Cho Oyo, Gyachung Kang, Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cholatse, Taweche and far as to Mt. Makalu.
After a wonderful stop at Gokyo Ri, head downhill to Gokyo for lunch and rest, afternoon short walk of few hours to Dragnak at the base of Chugyuma or Tsho-la (Cho) pass, above Na small place located at the foot of Ngozumba glacier.
Day 10 / Trek to Dzongla 4,830m via Tsho-la 5,368 m - 07 hrs.
Starting the early morning with a steep climb to reach the top at Tsho-la pass after a strenuous walk uphill of 3-4 hours, from the top close views of Cholatse and Nirekha peaks then descend to a small hidden valley at Dzong-la for an overnight stop.
In snow condition, this route can be quite difficult and the guide will decide whether it is possible to proceed or retrace to another safe area.
Day 11 / Trek to Lobuche 4,930 m - 05 hrs.
After Dzongla, climb uphill for short while then on the nice path to reach above Thugla ( Dugla) on the midway of Pheriche-Dingboche and Lobuche, with views of Taboche, Cholatse, Lobuche, Pumori, Ama Dablam. Climb to a ridge of Thug-la pass with many stone memorials of unfortunate climbers died on Everest-Lhotse-Pumori expeditions.From this lovely spot, an hour more of pleasant walk brings you at Lobuche on route Everest base camp.
Day 12 / Trek to Gorakshep 5,170 m, Everest Base Camp 5, 364 m - 06 hrs.
Walk this morning is gradual with few short steep up but can be tough due to high altitude gain with awesome views of Mt. Pumori, Lingtrin, Khumbutse and Mt. Everest.
After few hours of strenuous and scenic walk reaching at Gorakshep as the trek leads over moraine and glaciers to Gorakshep with few lodges, located beneath Kalapathar Hill and Pumori peak on route Everest base camp. Gorakshep was the original base camp in early 1950’s to 1970’s, here with overnight stop after reaching our main highlight of this adventure at Everest base camp.
From Gorakshep few hours of walk leads to base camp over rocks, boulders, moraine and glacier on reaching world highest Everest base camp, enjoy the surrounding views enclosed within Everest hidden behind high peaks of Lho-La-Nuptse with close views of notorious Khumbu Ice-Falls. In mountaineering high season April to June, this place will be flooded with hundreds to colorful tents, climbers, and staff.
After reaching our goal and highlight head back to Gorakshep for last overnight stop in high Khumbu valley.
Day 13 / Hike to Kalapathar 5,545 m and trek to Pheriche 4, 240 m - 05 hrs.
Early morning a steep climb to the top of Kalapathar for the fantastic panorama of surrounding giant peaks including Mt. Everest at close distance, this will be the highest point of the adventure at 5,545 m / 18,192 ft.
After an overwhelming time on the top downhill to Gorakshep and continue trek to reach Pheriche for an overnight stop, walk leads on the same route to Thugla, after a small bridge heading down to Pheriche windy valley.
A nice walk of few hours from the valley brings at Pheriche with many good lodges and HRA (Himalayan Rescue Association) medical post.
Day 14 / Trek to Thyangboche 3,867 m - 05 hrs.
Leaving Pheriche with super views of Ama Dablam, downhill walk after a short climb then back into lower altitude of tree lines, walk leads past Pangboche and from the bridge an hour climb brings you at famous and scenic Tyangboche Monastery, located on a small plateau with marvelous scenery of mountains including Mt. Everest and majestic Ama-Dablam surrounded by beautiful alpine forest of rhododendron-pines-oaks and birch trees.
Here with time to visit this interesting monastery which was badly damaged by fire in 1991 and rebuilt back into original shape.
Day 15 / Trek to Monjo 2,880 m through Namche Bazaar - 06hrs.
Morning walk a long descend to Imjatse River at Phunge Tenga, after crossing a bridge with short steep uphill and then with gentle walk all the way to Namche Bazaar, from Namche continue walk downhill to Dudh Kosi River, from here with short ups and downs to reach at Sagarmatha National Park to Monjo village for overnight stop in this nice village.
Day 16 / Trek to Lukla - 04 hrs.
After an exciting and fabulous trek to Everest base camp, last day walk of this adventure leads on the same trail with last climb to Lukla for lunch and overnight stop, afternoon free with last night dinner celebration with fellow staff-guides and members.
Day 17 / Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
From Lukla an early morning flight to Kathmandu, sometimes the flight time can delay due to bad weather conditions, as per your flight time board in a small plane for super, scenic flight back to Kathmandu, on reaching Katmandu domestic terminal. Pristine Nepal guide and staff transfer you back to your hotels with an afternoon free for individual activities.
Day 18 / In Kathmandu for sightseeing tour at places of interest.
Pristine Nepal reserves this day in case of flight delay and cancellation in Lukla, due to unfavorable weather conditions, if all runs well according to our itinerary days join for sightseeing tour as Kathmandu is full of world heritage sites of historical monuments-enjoy the tour of Kathmandu old Durbar square, Swayambhunath the landmark of Kathmandu or visit Bouddhanath “Little Tibet”.
Day 19 / International departure for home ward bound.
