Pristine Nepal Treks & Expedition presents a short Everest base camp trek with helicopter tour. Especially, this trek is designed for those people who don’t have the long holiday but really want to see Mount Everest & touch to its base camp. Of course, this is a base for the highest mountain in the earth. Mount Everest is the highest peak in the world. And its base camp is the highest base camp too. Thousands of people have a dream to go in this amazing place. So we are here to make your dream into the reality.
Mount Everest is itself an amazing, beautiful, & giant peak. It is situated in the middle of Mahalungur range, in the north-east part of Nepal with Tibetan borderline with it’s an elevation of 8,848m above the sea level. There was some attempt in the 1920s & no more any climbing & trekking activities until 2nd war finishing. Actually, people started to come in this area after the 1950s. Late legendary Sir Edmond Hillary & Tenzing Norgay Sherpa climbed on the top of the world in 1953 then hundreds of climber started to come to climb & trek in this beautiful Sherpa land. Nepal had that policy only one group & limited people could visit this area in the 1950s. There was a very interesting story about British expedition. They had attempted already in 1951 & another unsuccessful attempt to Cho Oyu in 1952. 1954 was booked by French expedition group & 1955 by Swiss group. Luckily, British expedition group got a chance to climb again in 1953. They got to the top of the world & thousands of climbers have been on the summit after 1953.
Then, hundreds of climbers have made world records here & thousands of trekkers have been visiting in this pristine Sherpa land. Personally, I had trekked here as a trekking porter 15 years ago & worked as a trekking guide for a long time. Now, I have a professional & experienced team for this trek. Many people have a dream to go here but some people don’t have a long holiday that is why we are organizing this short Everest base camp trek for those people. Normally, you may fly Lukla & trek to Phakding. The 2nd day can be in Namche Bazar which is the capital city of Sherpa people. It is very popular for open Bazar as well. You may see it at Fryday & Saturday. Day 3 in Tyangboche where one of the oldest Monasteries with beautiful views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, & much more higher peaks. Dingboche is on day 4 which is the last Sherpa village before Everest base camp over 4,410m above the sea level. Day 5 in Lobuche 4,910m with many higher mountains view. From here, you will go to your ultimate destination Everest base camp 5,364m before noon time & fly back to Lukla from Gorakshep by helicopter. Then fly out from Lukla to Kathmandu next morning & departure to your home.
Very important thing is that you have to be very fit physically & psychologically. At least you should have walking practice a lot. You have to be very good in walking but we always recommend you to walk very slowly. All the campsites are designed for average people. If you go up slowly you will do it. You have to be very careful with high altitude sickness. It is called acute mountain sickness too. If you go very fast on high altitude area you can get this problem. You should drink a lot of water & walk slowly to reduce this problem.
